Bio

Nicole Issa is a passionate Australian singer/songwriter born and raised in Sydney. After being exposed to music from her Middle Eastern

heritage, her passion for singing and performing was born.

Growing up, Nicole played music whenever she had the opportunity, leaving her with the reputation of constantly singing,  "You would

be able to hear me singing from up the hall”. It wasn't until she picked up a guitar in her early teens that Nicole began songwriting, clutching inspiration from artists such as Matt Corby, Amy Winehouse and Missy Higgins.

Recently, Nicole has worked as a Songwriter working with council organisations such as Blacktown Council in creating songs for their youth campaigns. Specifically, the song 'Relevant' which helped spread awareness for domestic violence victims.

Alongside Songwriting, Nicole has undertaken singing backing vocals professionally, performing alongside Australian artist Odette's Sydney and Melbourne shows, Triple J's Like a Version (Magnolia; Gangs of Youth cover), Triple J's Live at the Wireless (Corner Hotel in Melbourne alongside Gretta Ray) and Splendour in the Grass 2019.

This taste of the industry has lead Nicole to focus on her career as a Solo Artist, with her recently featuring in Sydney's Version of "Sofar Sounds", performing her unreleased music to an attentive crowd.

In 2020, Nicole is expected to release her debut singles “Flew” and “Focus”.
